New Blog Site

Hi there,
We have been Bushtracker owners and ‘on the road’ for over 11 years. Whilst I know a bit about caravanning and outback travel I am very new to the blogging game….. so bear with me.

I created this blog site called Freedom Wheels Around Oz as a means of giving a little something back to fellow travellers and particularly those of you new to caravanning. The site is about three weeks old now and I am adding info most days.

Please feel free to register or just have look. I have initially set up three categories of posts as follows: General, Travel Tips and Favourite Campsites. I may add more categories later.

I welcome comments and if you have any ideas, issues you are experiencing or want advice please drop me an email. My responses will be on an ‘All care no responsibility basis’ I am not an expert on anything but have been around the traps on the outback caravanning scene for a good while. If you don’t hear from me or see any new posts for a while I am probably out of comms range and enjoying the bush.

Safe travels out there

John and Jean

Hi John & Jean.

Generally when we are on the road I use Facebook. On the whole, I would prefer to create and maintain a Blog, it's more personal and more detail can prevail without being so public.
The thrust of all this is I have no idea how to create one. I'm tech savy but have never gone down this path. A few pointers would be greatly appreciated. My platform is Apple.

Kind regards.

Mike, I find BlogSpot (it's a Google product) very easy to set up and use.

It's very versatile compared to some others.

Here's mine: http://farcanal.blogspot.com.au/2013/10/2013-caravan-trip.html

John's is WordPress, even though he refers to it as BlogSpot. They are two different formats.

If you Google "BlogSpot" you will get the site I'm referring to and then you start playing around with it.

Have fun.

Mike,

I also use BlogSpot and like Stephen have found it the easiest to use. I've tried the others but prefer this platform...

I haven't been posting on my blog as much as usual as the only trip we have done this year after Tassie is our two months at Ningaloo, it's not quick & easy with limited internet and the call of the fish just waiting to be caught ..

I'll get around to it one day Smile

Safe travels & blogging all

Thanks everyone for your help. Believe it or not I've set it up and it seems to work. It will be a works in progress but the foundations are there.
I just need to work out how you manipulate the template, after that it shouldn't be much trouble.

Take a preview - www.buschbash.blogspot.com.au

Cheers. Very Happy
