What to do now to organize everything to get started on your layout?
First of all you need to understand that we give you several months of coaching on your layout. Layouts do not affect the price, so take the coaching as it is free. You can have anything you want (that is possible), but if we see some disadvantage to what you are trying to do, we make sure you understand those potential pitfalls before we go on. Do not make the first big mistake, and spend 50 hours designing a complete set of layout plans, because they will not work and have never worked for reasons you could not be expected to know. Things like placement of bulkheads, equipment, routing of utilities, wheelboxes and departure angles and the aerodynamic rake, all affect layouts. You can have a play, but do not get serious about designing it until you have made a visit to Bushtracker to see the layout innovations first hand. We are Number One for the quality of the Product, and anyone that visits can soon understand that no one builds like Bushtracker. Secondly we are Number One, because we really do try and make the extra effort to take care of our Owners with their own best interests at heart. You are advised not to make the mistake of spending 50 hours designing the details of your layout on your own. As in process, when we show you better ways of do it, the 50 hours of detailed plans is parked in the wastebasket. Go through the process, and take the coaching, and let us help you develop the project together for your own benefit.
Well, first thing to do? Obviously a trip to Bushtracker. Second? Fill out and send us a copy of your gear list or what most do is sit down and do the Optional Equipment Gear List when they are here for a visit.. Some things in your layout will be affected by choices in the Optional Equipment gear list. But your layout does not affect the price and we give several months of coaching on the layout itself to try and get the best job done by you.. So, Optional Equipment selection comes before the layout, but you are free to modify it as well while in process so do not stress over it too much. Get this done, and get on the Production Schedule and settle the details and layout while time is ticking away in the Schedule.
If you just want to start having a play: The Internet at www.bushtracker.com site has some directions to go in layouts, and once you tell us what you like or don't like about those, we can start getting out the variations to show you when you come for a visit.. You can start by having a look at the plans on the internet site in the size you are interested in. If you double click on them it blows them up, and you can print in off and take a pair of scissors and do a bit of cut and paste on the blank template that is also included on the same page.. Keep in mind the limitations of the wheelboxes and the departure angle noted on the Template... But anyways: We would have hundreds of layouts in each category of our collection. Once you in the Schedule we start refining the layout by sending you ideas you might now have thought of. You are not cast in stone, and in the first few months, you can vary your gear list and even your size. The reason we have the time to coach you on gear and layouts is: It takes that long for to get in line with the Military for the suspension, to build chassis components and send them away to be hot dip galvanized, commercial brakes to be drilled in your stud pattern and on and on. It takes about 12 weeks before we get things back and ready to knit them all together. So, we have that time to coach you on gear and layouts to refine the van to suit your lifestyle by working with you to bring different things to your attention that you may have not considered.
Kind Regards,
Steven Gibbs,
Director, Bushtracker |

Hello Friends,
We will run this Category a little different and try and not bog down these Topics with questions and individual planning by Newbies, as they get months of coaching when in process...
Instead, we welcome comments from those actually living with these various options we are discussing here.. Current Owners may agree with, or disagree with, my advice; and can add their comments here in each Topic. You Owners are welcome to disagree, as my advice only geared for the majority in each condition. There will always be circumstances and situations and personal tastes on layout that will differ from the advice I give..
So please feel free to tell us how your differnt layout has worked better for you, outside of these "mainstream" guidelines I am putting forth... OK?
Kind Regards, Ranger looking out for ya! |

Update, July 2011
Samples of our layouts are all on our Website at www.bushtracker.com in the Sample Layouts section. You click on each one your are interested in, and it automatically blows it up to a useable size...
Again, note that once you have Ordered and are in the Production Schedule, we give you months of Coaching on all the little details and possibilities of each layout, sink right hand or left, and so on... These are just samples to begin with.
Cheers, Admin.... |

Fellas......
If you can't convince the girls here on paper/internet, get them up for a factory visit (with a Romantic Evening thrown in at some Ooh La La Motel, of course!)
I, for one don't require "Ooh La La" Motels/Apartments anymore.... I eventually consented to a Bushtracker that we've now owned for over a year.
The factory visit was the "clincher".
Maz.
